Salary Range: $42,000 – $66,000 per annum, DOE
FLSA Status: Exempt
The National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ), a non-profit organization headquartered in Reno, Nevada, is seeking an Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to build on the exceptional 80-year history of improving courts and systems’ practice and promoting national policies that improve the lives of our nation’s children and families. As a leader in continuing education opportunities, research, publication development, technical assistance, and policy development in the field of juvenile and family justice, the NCJFCJ is unique in providing practice-based resources to jurisdictions and communities nationwide. The mission of the NCJFCJ is to provide all judges, courts, and related agencies involved with juvenile, family, and domestic violence cases with the knowledge and skills to improve the lives of the families and children who seek justice.

The Executive Assistant position serves under limited supervision of the CEO and Chief Administrative Officer and must be able to support the day-to-day office operations. The successful candidate for this position will need to develop a knowledge base applicable to the organization as a whole while demonstrating an ability to adapt to changing needs.
The focus and duties of the Executive Assistant position may include, but are not limited to:
  • Maintain organization and confidentiality of information and materials
  • Generate and finalize accurate correspondence
  • Establish and maintain filing systems for tracking business records
  • Organize schedules
  • Coordinate and complete logistical and other tasks related to meetings and/or training sessions
  • Record, transcribe, and file minutes of meetings
  • Attend to executive travel and meeting arrangements
  • Independently assist in providing information as requested by staff, Board members, organization members, public and private officials, and the general public

This position may require some travel, locally and nationally, along with working occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays if required. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds (with assistance) may be required.
The successful candidate for this position must be able to travel to and relocate to Reno, Nevada. The NCJFCJ cannot provide reimbursement for travel/relocation expenses.
