The Office of Child Development and Mental Health is an independent non-partisan, non-profit affiliate of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges. It was established by David Arredondo M.D. to provide consultation, technical assistance and trainings to juvenile and family court judicial officers and other professionals working with high risk children and their families.

The primary focus of the OCDMH is the transfer of knowledge of childhood development, developmental traumatology, neuropsychiatry (brain disorders) and mental health to judicial officers in the field. The OCDMH conducts research reviews on a broad range of topics and provides consultation and technical assistance to programs and professionals nationally.

The OCDMH is made possible by a sustaining grant from the Michelson Foundation.
