Florida Guardian ad Litem Program Seeks Statewide Executive Director Print E-mail

The Florida Guardian ad Litem Program seeks an Executive Director. The Guardian ad Litem Program provides representation for over 32,000 children in dependency court each year. The executive director will ensure the success of the program's advocacy efforts, and seek to expand to represent all of Florida's children involved in the dependency system.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree, four years of experience in a supervisory or administrative position, and preferably managing a program specializing in child advocacy or juvenile law or a volunteer program. The current salary range is $72,604.86-$122,226.93 annually plus benefits, and the position will be located in Tallahassee.

Volunteer opportunity in Liberia Print E-mail
The International Senior Lawyers Project (http://www.islp.org/ ) seeks a volunteer with a minimum of 20 years experience in the investigation and prosecution of sexual assault crimes to work with the Ministry of Justice in Liberia to develop legal training on the country's new rape laws. The volunteer would travel to Liberia in May or June of 2008 to conduct a 3-week needs assessment. Airfare and accommodation will be provided.
