Pilot Sites Needed for Child Support Tools Print E-mail

NCJFCJ needs assistance in testing new judicial tools focused on improving the effectiveness of child support orders. The Office of Child Support Enforcement has provided funding to NCJFCJ to develop practical, easy-to-use tools for state court judges and quasi-judicial officers to facilitate realistic and enforceable child support orders and strengthen the ability of the nation's child support enforcement (IV-D) program to collect support on behalf of children and families. To that end, NCJFCJ worked with a group of national experts to develop a technical assistance bulletin entitled, "Why Medical Support is Important and Complex" and a set of bench cards, "A Practice Guide: Making Child Support Orders Realistic and Enforceable."

Before these tools are finalized and disseminated, NCJFCJ is pilot testing them in courts around the country to evaluate how useful they are in practice. We are looking for courts to use and complete evaluations on these two tools. If you are interested in your court serving as a pilot site or know of a court that would be willing to participate in this process, please contact Cheryl Lyngar at clyngar@ncjfcj.org or call 775-784-6225 for more information.
