MODEL COURTS

A Juvenile Justice Model Court is one that makes the commitment of human and fiscal resources to follow - to the extent possible the key principles and recommendations set forth in the Juvenile Delinquency Guidelines.

In this context, the term means that a court that seeks to improve practice by implementing the Juvenile Delinquency Guidelines and assessing its progress in that endeavor serves as a "model"  for broad systems change.
