4/3/09 -- Almost a decade ago, experts met at Jackson Hole, WY, to address the critical need for collaboration to improve services to families experiencing both domestic violence and child abuse. That national summit touched off a revolution that has changed the way communities across the nation address the co-occurrence of domestic violence and child abuse.
The revolution will continue this summer when the NCJFCJ and the Family Violence Prevention Fund hold the National Summit on the Intersection of Domestic Violence and Child Maltreatment on June 2-4, 2009, also at Jackson Hole. National experts will discuss the latest research and developments on the topic of co-occurrence and give participants tools to improve cross-system collaboration in the delivery of services to victims of domestic violence and child abuse. Please note: The deadline for registration applications is April 15, 2009. Please click here for more information and to register.
