NCJFCJ PARTICIPATES IN LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE |

4/3/09 -- NCJFCJ President Judge Patricia Macías and Executive Director Mary V. Mentaberry were selected by the Jessie Ball duPont Fund to participate in the Fund’s “Executive Director/Board Chair Leadership Institute” held March 23-25, 2009 in Warrenton, Va., outside Washington, D.C. The NCJFCJ was among the 12 organizations selected to participate from 330 eligible organizations.
The Institute focuses on providing Executive Directors and Board Chairs of nonprofit organizations with the strategies and tools necessary to address organizational priorities during these challenging times. The program was conducted and Certificates of Completion were issued by the Georgetown University Public Policy Institute Center for Public and Nonprofit Leadership.
Following the Institute, Ms. Mentaberry also participated in the Jessie Ball duPont Fund Alumni Leadership program conducted by the Georgetown Public Policy Institute, March 25-27, 2009. The Alumni program focused on “Innovative Leadership: New Approaches to Nonprofit Excellence.”
