The Summer 2010 issue of Juvenile and Family Justice TODAY  magazine will feature an article entitled, "Improving Outcomes for Status Offenders in the JJDPA Reauthorization." Authored by Nancy Gannon Hornberger, Executive Director of the Coalition for Juvenile Justice, the article focuses on the history and current status of the JJDPA, the VCO exception and ongoing efforts to reduce institutionalization of status offenders, and provides examples of best practices in terms of addressing the needs of status offenders.
