NCJFCJ passes resolution on evidence-based services for status offenders Print E-mail
NCJFCJ's Board of Trustees, during the July 2010 Annual Conference in San Diego, passed a resolution "Regarding Efforts to Ensure Availability of Evidence-Based Services to Meet the Needs of Status Offenders and Their Families." The resolution was subsequently passed at the general membership meeting on July 20, 2010.

The State Council in Georgia initially passed a similar resolution, calling upon the NCJFCJ to actively work to ensure availability of these services, and to encourage partner organizations, funders, and other State Councils to do the same. Since that time, Virginia has also passed a resolution noting the need for evidence-based services to help status offenders and their families.

NCJFCJ President Judge Michael Key is asking other state councils or partner organizations to examine this issue and take similar action. Please follow the links below for further information. As partners and state councils join in this effort, we will post here the statements, resolutions, and other materials that are brought to our attention.
