In 2005, the NCJFCJ published a reentry primer entitled “Reconnecting: The Role of the Juvenile Court in Reentry.” Funded by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, the publication is a guide to planning, implementing and operating a juvenile court to manage the reintegration into the community of juveniles who have undergone court-ordered, out-of-home placement. The recommendations were developed with input from a multidisciplinary committee and build upon practices developed in drug courts and other problem-solving courts.
