Plan on Milwaukee, Wisconsin this July for the NCJFCJ’s 69th Annual Conference, scheduled July 16-19, 2006.
The conference will feature a wide variety of workshops on topics including family violence, family law, permanency planning, juvenile detention alternatives, juvenile sanctions, substance abuse, and truancy, as well as a track focusing on tribal court issues. Some of the many invited dignitaries and faculty include Dr. Edward Latessa of the University of Cincinnati, Bart Lubow, Director of the Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative for the Annie E. Casey Foundation, and Stephen Adams, who will present his annual case law update. Wisconsin Chief Justice Shirley S. Abrahamson has been invited to welcome attendees at the opening session.
