On Aug. 30, 2006, U.S. Senator John Ensign of Nevada visited with staff from NCJFCJ, the National Judicial College, and the Grant Sawyer Center for Justice Studies during a noontime gathering on the University of Nevada, Reno campus.

Senator Ensign spoke of the importance of the three justice organizations to Nevada and the nation, and was thanked by NCJFCJ Executive Director Mary Mentaberry, NJC President Bill Dressel, and Grant Sawyer Center Director Jim Richardson for his ongoing support. Staff members were given the opportunity to ask Senator Ensign questions, and the issues addressed included health care and education.
