 More than 125 judges, dignitaries, court professionals, colleagues, staff and friends celebrated NCJFCJ's 70th anniversary on May 22, 2007 at Council headquarters in Reno. Among those providing congratulatory messages to the participants was Nevada's First Lady, Dawn Gibbons (right), who spoke of the need for continuing efforts to help children and families involved in the court system.
NCJFCJ President Judge Dale Koch, Immediate Past President Judge Stephen Rubin, Executive Director Mary Mentaberry, and others were on hand to welcome the audience and thank them for helping us celebrate this milestone. NCJFCJ member Judge Chuck Weller of Washoe County's Family Court, a past participant of several Council programs, also spoke. Refreshments were prepared and served by student-athletes of Rite of Passage's Silver State Academy.
