| Juvenile Probation Conference Set at Lake Tahoe |

The NCJFCJ will present its 24th Annual Juvenile Probation and Justice Management Conference May 15-18, 2005 at Caesar’s Tahoe at Stateline, Nevada. Approximately 350 juvenile justice professionals are expected at the conference, presented in cooperation with the National Juvenile Court Services Association, which will focus on issues of special interest to juvenile probation officers, court administrators, detention workers, and others in the juvenile justice field. Participants can choose between three tracks: Management Development; Juvenile Probation, including dispositional alternatives and mental health issues; and Case Management of Juvenile Sex Offenders. National experts will present workshops on topics including substance abuse; race and gender issues; mentally ill juveniles; teen courts; strength-based approaches, and the challenges of managing juvenile sex offenders.
