Judicial Institute on Adolescent Relationship Abuse

May 29, 2012

The NCJFCJ, in partnership with Futures Without Violence (formerly the Family Violence Prevention Fund) and with the support of the Office for Victims of Crimes (OVC), will offer a new three-day, highly interactive workshop that will help state court and tribal court judges enhance their skills and ability to respond to cases involving adolescents and relationship abuse. The Judicial Institute on Adolescent Relationship Abuse will take place July 9-11 in Phoenix, AZ at the Embassy Suites Phoenix-Biltmore.

This program is the first curriculum of its kind, filling a gap in training and support, as it builds capacity within the judiciary for addressing risks and encouraging effective outcomes with adolescent victims and offenders.
Distinguished faculty include Sujata Warrier, Ph.D., Hon. Videtta Brown, Hon. Marshall Murray, Ian Harris, JD, and Claire Crooks, Ph.D.
The program is offered to participants free of charge. Complimentary breakfast and reception are available each day of the training. Registration is limited to 50 participants.
