International Presence
The NCJFCJ has placed a strong emphasis on sharing resources and promising practices with juvenile and family law professionals from around the globe. Various international groups are invited to the NCJFCJ headquarters in Reno, Nev. to meet with NCJFCJ staff on a number of topics including domestic law cases, human trafficking, juvenile detention alternatives, child support and custody, family law, and many other juvenile and family law-related issues.
Below are some recent international visits:
December 5, 2017 - A delegation of appellate judges and legal professionals from Macedonia visited the NCJFCJ to discuss the U.S. judicial system.
October 16, 2017 - The delegation of judges, lawyers, and psychologists from Peru at the NCJFCJ office to discuss how U.S. courts approach domestic violence cases, the role of domestic violence in child custody decisions, and the use of court protective services with NCJFCJ CEO Joey Orduna Hastings and NCJFCJ Program Attorney Amanda Kay.
