Specialized Family Violence Information Packets

The Family Violence Department has developed five specialized family violence information packets on child protection and child custody issues in the context of domestic and family violence.  A description of each packet and its table of contents are listed below.  If you wish to order a packet, please contact our Resource Center on Domestic Violence: Child Protection and Custody at (800) 527-3223.

Child Protection and Custody Packet

The Child Protection and Custody packet is designed to provide a survey of up-to-date research and information on child protection and custody in the context of family and domestic violence, both in private custody matters and in child welfare/abuse and neglect matters.

The Decision-Making in Child Custody Cases packet is designed to provide up-to-date research and information to judges, custody evaluators, advocates, and mental health professionals on decision-making in contested child custody cases involving family and domestic violence.
