The National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ), a non-profit organization headquartered in Reno, Nevada, is seeking a Travel Coordinator to build on the exceptional 80-year record of improving courts and systems’ practice and raising awareness of the core issues that touch the lives of many of our nation’s children and families. As a leader in continuing education opportunities, research, publication development, technical assistance, and policy development in the field of juvenile and family justice, the NCJFCJ is unique in providing practice-based resources to jurisdictions and communities nationwide. The NCJFCJ offers an open work environment in a modern riverside location in downtown Reno.

The Travel Coordinator is responsible for organizing, booking, tracking, and handling travel requests for staff, faculty, guests, and VIPS in support of the NCJFCJ’s national conference and meeting events. This position will ensure that travel needs are met within the constraints of the organization’s policies and timelines.
The focus and duties of this position may include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist with development, implementation and maintenance of the automated travel system
  • Oversee, coordinate, and centralize the travel functions for the organization
  • Good working knowledge of the travel policy
  • Oversee the Travel Request process
  • Provide travel assistance for travelers as needed
  • Track and be the first line of verification for expense vouchers
  • Be able to troubleshoot travel system issues and train staff on use of the travel system
  • Assist with program file maintenance
  • Reconcile travel expense vouchers and invoices
  • As the workload permits, this position will provide back-up support to other staff

This position may require some travel, locally and out-of-state, along with working occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays if required. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds (with assistance).
The successful candidate for this position must be able to relocate to Reno, Nevada. The NCJFCJ cannot guarantee reimbursement of interview travel costs or relocation expenses.
