Attorney At Law Magazine sat down with Judge Lori Bustamante of the Superior Court of Arizona in Maricopa County to talk about her NCJFCJ Innovator of the Year Award for the creation of Project S.A.F.E. (Safety Awareness & Firearms Education) at its 88th Annual Conference. Judge Bustamante was inspired to build Project S.A.F.E. at an NCJFCJ Conference when people from Denver presented on their gun intervention program. She knew at that moment that she was going to get her system partners together to create a program for youth in Maricopa County.
