The National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ) announced that it has partnered with the National Association for Court Management (NACM) to offer a dual membership discount for judicial officers and court management professionals.

Both membership organizations align to improve the judicial system by empowering and exercising judicial and court manager leadership skills through continuing education. The NCJFCJ and NACM recognize the importance of diversity and educating the public on the role and importance of the court system. Through this partnership, dual members will have full access to the benefits of both organizations, which include educational and networking opportunities.

Since 1937, the NCJFCJ, the oldest judicial membership organization in the country, has served as the leader in providing continuing education opportunities, research, technical assistance, and policy development in the field of juvenile and family law. The NCJFCJ is a nonprofit organization with 1,600 members nationwide and internationally. The NCJFCJ’s mission is to provide all judges, courts, and related agencies involved with juvenile, family, and domestic violence cases with the knowledge and skills to improve the lives of the families and children who seek justice.

“The core of the NCJFCJ’s mission is continuing education,” said Joey Orduna Hastings, NCJFCJ CEO. “The strength and knowledge of the court system is dependent on both a well-educated judge and court manager. The NCJFCJ is thrilled to join forces, share membership benefits and resources, with the largest court management organization in the country. Together, we are stronger.”

Established in 1985, NACM has more than 1,700 members from the U.S., Canada, Australia and other countries. NACM is the largest organization of court management professionals in the world with members from all levels and types of courts. NACM provides court management professionals the opportunity to increase their proficiency while working with colleagues to improve the administration of justice.

“NACM values partnerships with national and state court associations,” said Vicky Carlson, NACM president. “These partnerships provide an opportunity for each association to learn and grow, and to share benefits received with its members. On behalf of the NACM Board, we are pleased to have established a partnership agreement for dual membership discount with the NCJFCJ. We look forward to ongoing collaboration between the associations.”

Dual members will save per year on membership in both organizations. For more information and to join both the NCJFCJ and NACM, please visit http://www.ncjfcj.org/NACM.
