The National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ) is pleased to invite judicial officers from state and tribal dependency courts to participate in the Regional Enhanced Resource Guidelines Training.
The Enhanced Resource Guidelines (ERG) is a publication that focuses on effective court practices to ensure the safety, permanency, and well-being of children and families involved in child abuse and neglect cases. The ERG covers all stages of the court process, from the preliminary protective hearing to when juvenile and family court involvement has ended, and it includes best practices regarding the role of the judge, case management and hearing quality. The ERG helps judges inform their courtrooms and decision-making practices by considering best and promising practices, as well as science, about the needs of children and families.
This 2.5-day training will provide up to 35 judges with peer-to-peer learning opportunities and time to develop action plans to implement new strategies upon their return. This event is designed for judicial officers who preside over child abuse and neglect cases. There is no registration fee. Grant funding covers travel, lodging, and per diem expenses for this event.
This event is funded by Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), and is still awaiting final approval. If you are interested and available to attend, please register. All registrations are subject to approval by NCJFCJ. Completing registration does not guarantee attendance at the training. Please do not make any travel arrangements without confirmation of registration approval.
