There are now several pending bills in Congress related to cannabis, including decriminalization and rescheduling of the drug. Thirty- eight states have some form of medical marijuana. Twenty-three states, D.C., Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, and tribal nations now have adult use marijuana laws, with many others exploring legislation for recreational marijuana for 2023-24 . Continued law and regulatory changes are impacting our courts and society. They are also creating a dynamic and changing landscape for various disciplines including law enforcement, judges, drug court professionals, cannabis regulators, legislators and commissioners, academia, and human resource associations and organizations.

Symposium Partners: The American Bar Association (ABA), the American Judges Association (AJA), the Cannabis Law Report, the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ), the National Judicial College (NJC), the New England Association of Recovery Court Professionals (NEARCP), and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
