Juvenile Court Statistics 2014 draws on data from the National Juvenile Court Data Archive (Archive) to profile nearly 1 million delinquency cases and more than 100,000 petitioned status offense cases handled in 2014 by U.S. courts with juvenile jurisdiction. The report also tracks trends in delinquency and petitioned status cases between 2005 and 2014. In addition, for the first time in the report’s history, national estimates of cases involving Hispanic youth are now available. The data used in this report were contributed to the Archive by more than 2,400 courts with jurisdiction over 84% of the juvenile population in 2014.
