Using "Sober Support" Groups in Your Juvenile Court

Resources / Report / Using "Sober Support" Groups in Your Juvenile Court

‘This technical assistance bulletin was developed by the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges to show the effectiveness of sober support in the recovery process. Sober support is defined as a personal connection to an individual and/or group that helps individuals suffering substance-related problems maintain sobriety. The common elements of sober support are to connect individuals to other people who are in recovery, address the individual’s sobriety challenges, and promote an alcohol and drug-free lifestyle. ‘ [NCJRS annotation]
