Using the 8 essential elements for a trauma-informed approach in juvenile justice settings, this webinar will review necessary considerations when providing support services for justice-involved youth and their families. Building on these essential elements, panelists will discuss resources for trauma-informed screening and assessment, treatment, disposition planning, and policy development that promote system-wide adoption of trauma-informed practices. They will highlight resources created by the National Child Traumatic Stress Network specifically designed for working with youth and caregivers who have experienced domestic violence.
