The NCJFCJ is pleased to announce its inaugural Fundamentals of Judicial Training for Judicial Educators taking place December 2-4, 2026, in Reno, Nevada. This 2.5-day program, offered by NCJFCJ staff and experienced national judicial educators, will prepare participants, when training judges, to: use proven strategies and principles of adult learning; collaborate and facilitate with subject matter experts to team-teach; and engage judicial officers through practical application-based exercises, facilitated conversations, and supportive critical thinking.
Participants who complete this course will be given priority considerations for future NCJFCJ programs. This is a required, foundational course for professionals who wish to participate in topically specific training courses offered by the NCJFCJ that are based on NCJFCJ’s official policy statements and practice recommendations as adopted and approved by the Board of Trustees. Space is limited to 25 participants who should be judicial officers, court managers, administrative office of the courts staff, and legal professionals.
