The NCJFCJ is pleased to announce the upcoming Virtual Child Abuse and Neglect Institute (CANI) taking place June 1–5, 2026. This 4.5-day program brings together national and local faculty to teach core topics including hearing practice, child development, substance abuse, and cutting-edge court improvement developments, among other topics. CANI is designed for judges who have been newly assigned to child abuse and neglect/dependency cases, or judges who have been presiding over these cases for some time and want the latest information about best practice in this area. There is no registration fee, and space is limited to 50 participants.
This virtual CANI is pending Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) approval. Updates will be shared as they become available.
If you have any questions regarding this meeting, please contact Casaundra Johnson at cjohnson@ncjfcj.org.
