Across the United States, there are 2.3 million incarcerated people. Of those incarcerated, 58 percent are either Black or Latino. Compared to their white counterparts, Black and Latino men serve sentences that are nearly 20 percent longer.
A study from Cornell University suggests that Artificial Intelligence or AI, may provide a fairer alternative to human judges.
