NCJFCJ News
Matthew J. Sullivan, Ph.D., past president of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC), penned an opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal, “Family Courts Should Think of the Children.” It cites the importance of the joint statement with the AFCC and the NCJFCJ on parent-child contact problems. It recommends individual case assessment, with children’s safety, as the first priority, as well as interventions based on the best available science, accompanied by increased training of family-court professionals.
