Judge Richard J. FitzGerald Memorial Scholarship

FitzGerald FundThank you for your interest in the NCJFCJ’s Judge Richard J. FitzGerald Memorial Scholarship Program, established in 2018.

The Judge Richard J. FitzGerald Memorial Scholarship is available to ANY NCJFCJ member in good standing of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges. Completion of a scholarship application form and registration for a tuition-based NCJFCJ program or conference is a requirement of the application process. Preference shall be given to members who have not previously attended an NCJFCJ sponsored program or received a Judge Richard J. FitzGerald Memorial Scholarship.

Applications are currently being accepted for tuition scholarships to attend:

  • The 2023 National Conference on Juvenile Justice is scheduled for March 19-22, 2023, at the Renaissance Dallas Addison Hotel in Addison, Texas. Applications are due no later than Wednesday, February 8.
  • The 86th Annual Conference is scheduled, for July 16-19, 2023, at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland. Applications are due no later than Wednesday, June 7.

Judge Richard J. FitzGerald Memorial Scholarship Application

  • Judge, magistrate, attorney, child welfare professional, probation officer, etc.
    Membership will be verified at application review.
  • The mission of the NCJFCJ is to provide all judges, courts, and related agencies involved with juvenile, family, and domestic violence cases with the knowledge and skills to improve the lives of the families and children who seek justice.
  • Name, contact information, relationship, etc.
